9/12/2023 0 Comments Iron charge blade mhgen![]() ![]() Usually, when the monster doesn't dictate my way of playing, here's what I do :.Some monster are too swift to take real damage in axe mode.To answer the question "Do you all tend to play this weapon as a sns more than axe?" It's difficult for me to time things with the late guard point on the axe to sword transformation, so I just like having the near instant guard point readily available. This is namely because of how useful the guard point on the sword to axe transformation is it's nigh instant and has saved me far too many times. I mix it up as best I can to keep it fresh, but in general I find myself using sword mode more and staying in that mode much more often. Really up to personal preference, every style is capable.ĭo you all tend to play this weapon as a sns more than axe? Like as in not the one where people just stay in sns mode and then expend the phials upon guard pointing but playing exactly like how sns works, only using axe in rare circumstances. Then again, I only really enjoy aerial on SnS and IG. I feel like I lose a lot of damage without that. I rely heavily on charged double slashes in sword mode into shield thrusts, after which I either loop back into another charged double slash or shift into Axe Mode for a quick double phial swing. Not entirely crazy about Aerial, personally. Also, it's range can get pretty crazy even with the weird angle it's not at all impossible to tell a fleeing wyvern to sit back down for a minute.Īlso how do you all find aerial style? I like aerial for its ability to cancel many animation since I can do them airborne without staying put completely. Of course, should the monster move at all, you can have your plans ruined still, so I find it's best used when it's immobilized or tired and you can get a clean hit. Just remember that the hitbox starts to the right of you and below, so simply stand to the left of where you want to hit and you shouldn't hit anything else first. ![]() If you can get used to Energy Blade's startup animation and how the move works, you'll find that it's not terribly difficult to hit the parts you actually want to hit (tails and weakpoints). I personally really enjoy using Energy Blade, though I don't couple it up with Limit Breaker what with how useful I find Absolute Readiness to be. Translations from this Japanese site with motion values:īy comparison, the Ultra discharge has a motion value of 100 (25+75), which means Energy Blade 1 with even just 4 phials will outdamage it without wasting your shield. Is energy blade 1 2 or 3 worth using at all? What are its damage? Moderators reserve the right to manually approve/disprove posts based on how it affects the quality or state of the sub.
